Born November 4, 1920, in Bloomfield, Missouri, the son of Koss William and Nell (Bates) Blomeyer. Siblings: Kenneth and Keith Blomeyer, Nancy Blomeyer Brady.

Lived in Bloomfield and in Billings, Montana before moving to Fort Collins in 1985.

Graduated from high school in Bloomfield and attained a B.S. in chemical engineering from the University of Missouri.

Served in the Army in World War II, attaining the rank of Tech 4.

Married Olive Ray in Missouri in 1939. Later divorced. Married Phyllis C. Gross in Las Vegas on September 6, 1965. Sons: Robert Blomeyer II, Charles Blomeyer. Stepson: Terrence H. Gross. Daughter: Rosalind Cruzan.

Worked for Conoco as a refinery manager in Denver and Billings. Retired from Conoco in 1985 after 36 years of employment.

Member: First United Methodist Church, Masonic Lodge.

Hobbies included model trains, gardening, reading and working in his shop. Especially enjoyed taking round-the-world cruises, traveling and dancing with his wife.
