F. Morgan "Skip" Van Doorn, 74, of Naples and Clayton, NY, passed away peacefully on March 19, 2014.

Born in Rochester, NY, Skip graduated from Nottingham High School in Syracuse, NY. Following his graduation from the University of Buffalo, he enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps and served his country with honor from '63-'69.

Skip started working in the grocery business and ended his career as North East Regional Sales Manager for Starkist Foods.

At his home in Naples, Skip was very active in the Parkinson's Community running meetings; sharing his experience and support. Skip had a great love of the St. Lawrence River; he spent his summer in Clayton where he enjoyed golfing, fishing, boating, and spending time with family; especially the grandchildren.

Skip will be deeply missed by his family and many wonderful friends. He will forever be remembered for his fierce determination to never let life's challenges get him down.

Skip leaves behind his devoted wife of 45 years, Mary (McCabe) Van Doorn originally from Watertown, NY; his daughters, Sarah Farr of Brownville, NY and Rachael Moir of Rochester, NY; five grandchildren; and his sister, Sandy Hulvat of Sarasota, FL. The family would like to thank the Vitas Hospice staff for all their caring and kindness. A memorial will be held in Clayton, NY at a future date.
