John M. Campbell, former master in the merchant marine, died Saturday in the West Chester Memorial Hospital. He was 71 and lived at 16 Golf View road, Ardmore. Since 1950 he had been in charge of the Philadelphia office of the New York Board of Underwriters. He was a Mason and a member of the St. Andrews Society. He is survived by his wife, Ann, a daughter, Mrs. Charles D. Allen, a sister and two brothers. Services will be at St. Mary's Episcopal Church, Ardmore, at 11 A. M. on Wednesday. Burial will be at the Valley
Forge Gardens, Valley Forge."
