Aeva Lee Godden, 86, of Topeka, passed away Monday, October 26, 2009 at home, surrounded by her family.

She was born August 3, 1923 in Clearmont, MO, the daughter of Oakley Everett and Aeva Emma (Pruitt) Kinder.

Aeva married Ernest LaVerne Reynolds. They were divorced. She married Edgar Alan Godden, Sr. He preceded her in death.

She was also preceded in death by a sister and two brothers. Survivors include her children, Gary L. Reynolds (Marcia), Gene Reynolds (Patty), JoAnn Doty (Don), Aeva L. Ramirez , Edgar A. Godden, Jr., Mary Stowe (Alan); a foster son, Richard Basham (Shirley); a sister, Peg Nichols; 12 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Godden was cremated. Private family services are planned. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Midland Hospice Care, 200 SW Frazier Circle, Topeka, KS 66606. Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel is assisting the family.
