Married Elizabeth Jane Adams on November 8, 1860 in McLean County, Kentucky, USA.

Together they had 10 Children: Elizabeth Jane, Michael Bledsoe, Laura Ann, Viola Bell, Sula Parlee, Etta, Laurena, Edith, Estella and John Wesley Galloway.

John T Galloway along with his family crossed the plains in 1862 or 1863 in a wagon train with kinfolk, reaching LaGrande, Oregon on November 15th of that year. They located a homestead there but then moved to the Willamette Valley the following year where they lived near Silverton, Dayton, Buena Vista, and Lewisville.
He was a carpenter in Benton County, Oregon in 1870 and was also a Carpenter in Polk County in 1880. John began a ministry in 1888 and later became an Ordained Minister. He preached in Idaho and Washington until the death of his wife, Elizabeth, upon which he moved to Portland, Oregon to live with his son, Michael.

His location is Grave 19, Row 99, Sec. A. However, there is no marker for this person. There are many missing markers for this very old section of the cemetery.
