Obituary from Akron Beacon Jounal dated 7-26-63: Leslie R. Cross

Leslie R. "Pete" Cross, 63, of 916 N. Howard St., died Thursday in Green Cross General Hospital after a long illness.

He formerly worked for the Motor Rim Co. and the Bermin Rental Service. A native of Crossroads, W. Va., he was an Akron resident 44 years.

Mr. Cross served in World War I and II and was a member of Clarence E. Mains Post 1070, Veterans of Foreign Wars; Order of Cooties, Pup Tent No. 3 and Local 762, International Auto Mechanics.

He leaves his wife, Wilma (Billie); a daughter, Mrs. Ruby Doring of Portland, Ore.; five grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. Eva Graham in California.

Dr. George Alley will conduct services Saturday at 1:30 p.m. in the Carr Memorial Home, Cuyahoga Falls, where friends may call.

Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Order of Cooties will conduct a military service. Burial will be in Rose Hill Memorial Park, Massillon.

Daughter Evelyn June Cross b. 18 Jan 1931 d. 20 Feb 1931 is buried in Memorial Park Cemetery.
