Douglas Andrew Hancock, 74, of Dawes died Monday in a Charleston hospital after a long illness.
He had been a miner and was a member of UMW Local 2903.
Mr. Hancock was a member of Miami Nazarene Church.
Survivors include his wife, Bedford; a brother, Dave of Charlotte Court House, Va.; three sisters, Mrs. Elva Legrand of Crewe, Va., Mrs. Ida Snell and Mrs. Lucy Elliot of Phenix, Va.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday in the Miami Nazarene Church by Rev. William G. Hill. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park.
The body is at the Pryor Funeral Home in East Bank.
