Mr. Simpson died Tuesday, Nov. 30, 2004 at West Georgia Medical Center. He was born July 2, 1926 in Sand Mountain. He was a retired diesel mechanic from Capital Auto Salvage.
He is survived by his wife, Ardie Simpson of LaGrange, Ga.; four daughters, Brenda Gail of Alexander City, Angela Faye Stidham of Dadeville, Nettie Ruth Peppers and husband Pete of Alexander City, and Martha Jean Pike and husband Tommie of Dadeville; four sons, Lonnie Douglas Simpson, Jr. and wife Margie, Johnny Simpson, Roy Lee Kenny and wife Juanita, all of Alexander City and David Simpson and wife Lizzie of Goodwater; three sisters, Laverne Wilson of Columbiana, Sally Smith and Florence Smith, both of LaGrange, Ga.; one sister-in-law, Dee Bradley of Smyrna, Tenn.; 21 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Simpson family care of any local Corley's Drug store. Condolences may be expressed by signing the guest book at www.legacy.com.
