Mr. Byrd departed this earthly life on Monday, March 31, 2014. Affectionately called "Buster" by family and friends, he was born in Kershaw County, SC to Olin L. Byrd, Sr. and Mamie Holley Byrd. "Buster" was a truck driver for over 35 years and he was a dedicated member of the Cayce Masonic Lodge for over 50 years and a Shriner. He was also a dedicated member of Red Bank Baptist Church.
"Buster" was predeceased by his parents; a son, Michael A. Byrd; and a brother, Joe Byrd.
Surviving are his loving and devoted wife, Ernestine Hallman Byrd; a daughter, Pam Sharpe; a granddaughter, Audria Sharpe; siblings, Howard Byrd (Pat), Ann Hewitt (Jimmy), and Carolyn Duval (Bert); a sister-in-law, Renee Byrd; several nieces, nephews, step-children and their children; other loving relatives and friends that will miss "Buster" dearly.
