Funeral services were held for Mrs. Hannah Haskin, 84, at the Congregational church in Oberon. She died on Thursday in the Devils Lake hospital where she had been a patient about a month. Mrs. Haskin had been living at a home for the aged in Devils Lake and prior to that lived in Fargo. She and her husband had lived many years on a farm near Oberon. Burial was at Hillside Cemetery.

Mrs. Haskin was born at Wells, MN on 4 Jan 1879 the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Arlin Taylor and was reared at Wells. She married Oral Haskin in 1898.

the couple lived at Benson, MN and in 1903 came to North Dakota and settled on a farm near Oberon. In 1939 they retired and moved into Oberon but retained their farming interests.

Mr. Haskin died in 1948 and after his death Mrs. Haskin moved to Fargo. She lived there until 1960 then moved to the home for the aged in Devils Lake.

While at Oberon she was active in the Congregational Church and served as president of the Women's Fellowship. She was a charter member and had served as president of the Women's Club and a homemakers club in Oberon. She was a past Noble Grand of the Rebekah Lodge and a past Matron of Golden Leaf Chapter of Order of Eastern Star in Minnewaukan.

A son, Gerald, died during World War One, making Mrs. Haskin a Gold Star mother.

Surviving are a son, Clinton, of Fargo; one grandson; 4 great grandchildren; a brother, A. A. Taylor of Oberon; and a sister, Mrs. Susan Dunbar of Nampa, ID.

Preceded in death by her husband, two sisters, Mrs. Cora Weston and Mrs. Grace Graham.
