Glenn Greene was born in North Carolina and moved with his parents to Coshocton County, Ohio in 1920. He seemed to move around a lot from Ohio to North Carolina over the years. He earned some money in Ohio by delivering coal from his cousins coal mine. He was a tall handsome man according to his relatives.

He married Fern Hazel Bassett from Coshocton County in 1933 and they had 10 children.

He moved to Pompano Beach, Florida where he died. His body was taken back to Coshocton County where he was buried with his wife, his parents and several siblings.
