FORT MYERS, FL ~ Marilyn Edwards Hayden, 83, formerly of King, passed away on Fri., March 28, 2014 in Ft. Myers, FL.
She was born Aug. 19, 1930, the third of six children, to Gurney Edwards and Blanche Kiger Edwards in Forsyth Co., NC.
She is survived by her daughters: Judy Smith of King and Rita (Juan Popoca) Hayden of Ft. Myers, FL; four grandchildren: Rodney & Ronnie Westmoreland, Michelle Tackett and Melissa Bostic; five great grandchildren; and brother, Jack (Donna) Edwards of Stanleyville.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jessie Hayden; son, Michael Hayden and four siblings.
Visitation will be held on Sat., April 5, 2014 from 10:00-11:30 a.m. at Slate Funeral Home in King with funeral services beginning at 11:30 a.m.
Burial will follow at Crestview Memorial Park.
