Newspaper article from "The Flint Journal," 14th of June 1922, page 15: PARKS DIES OF SELF-INFLICTED BULLET WOUND – Man Who Shot Self Last Week Succumbs to Shooting; Howard Oliver Parks, 20 years old, who shot himself through the head at his residence, 1214 Walnut St., last Thursday night, as a result of domestic troubles, is dead of his injuries. Howard Parks was born at Gaines, Michigan, June 28th, 1902, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Oliver Parks, and came to Flint when two years old. He had lived in this city since. He was united in marriage to Madeline L. Wiener in August 1921. Besides his wife and parents, he leaves two sisters, Mrs. Blanche Wright of Flint and Mrs. J. W. McAdams. He also leaves two aunts and four uncles.
