Bernadine E. "Bernie" Brennan, 70, of Springfield died Saturday at Memorial Medical Center.
She was born Nov. 28, 1925, in New Berlin, the daughter of William W. and Rose Anna Hermes Sharp. She married John Brennan and he preceded her in death in 1992. Mrs. Brennan was a resident of Springfield most of her life. She was a former employee of W.H. Rolands.
She was a volunteer at Memorial Medical Center, a member of St. Aloysius Parish Women's Council and a member of St. Aloysius Parish.
Survivors: three sons, John "Mike" and Patrick J. Brennan, both of Springfield, and Terrance "Terry" P. Brennan of Williamsville; five daughters, Mrs. Peter (Karin) Rehs, Greenwood, Ind., Mrs. Phil (Katie) Daniels, Mrs. Thomas (Elizabeth) Ebie Gas-perin, Theresa B. Brennan, and Mrs. James (Mary Kim) Owens, all of Springfield; 14 grandchildren; two brothers, William Sharp of Virden and Walter Sharp of Springfield; two sisters, Mrs. Fred (Mary) Bedolli and Bonnie Sharp, both of Springfield; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Services: Mass 10 a.m. Wednesday, St. Aloysius Church, the Rev. Kevin Sullivan officiating. Burial: Calvary Cemetery. Kirlin-Egan and Butler Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
