Bonnie was the daughter of Pearlie and Beulah (Foley) Mills.

Bonnie married Nathan Paul Cole. They were the parents of five children:

1. Jesse Paul Cole
2. Timmy Andres Cole
3. Ann Paulette Cole Hodge
4. Gary Dwayne Cole
5. Marsha Dale Cole

Bonnie was sister to:

1. Leola Faye Mills Edwards

OBITUARY:

Bonnie Marie Mills-Cole of The Bayberry and Daniels, WV passed away on November 27, 2017 at 7:45 PM at Bowers Hospice House. She was born on February 7, 1920 in Pickshin, Raleigh County, WV to the late Pearlie Mills (1896-1982) and Beulah Foley-Mills (1902-2010). She is preceded in death by her husband Nathan “Paul” Cole (1916-1983) whom she married on October 8, 1938 in Ghent, Raleigh County, WV (per WV Marriage License Register, Raleigh County, WV, 1938, Page 421, Application Date: October 3, 1938); one daughter, Marsha Cole-Raines (Deceased), one son, Timmy A. Cole (Deceased); one grandson, Michael D. Cole (Deceased), two sisters; Virginia Pearl Mills-Cole (1922-1979) and Leola Faye Mills-Edwards (1921-2010), and one brother, James Estel Mills (1927-1987).

She is survived by daughter Paulette Cole-Hodges-Parker of Daniels, WV; two sons Jesse P. Cole and Gary D. Cole; one brother David “Davie” Mills & wife Vivian Mills of Blackshear, GA; granddaughter Sheila Hodges-Pack and husband Scott Pack of Alpharetta, GA; grandson, Charles “Chuck” Hodges and wife Christi Hodges of Kennesaw, GA; great-granddaughter, Lauren Pack of Charleston, SC; great-grandsons, Allen Pack of Knoxville, TN, Davis Hodges, and Carson Hodges of Kennesaw, GA; former son-in-law, Eddie Hodges of Beckley, WV; special friends, Nancy Estep, Beverly Gordon, Joyce Hill, Anna Standley, and Barbara Hill; and special niece, Rhonda Fleshman.

Bonnie graduated from Stoco High School in 1937, she was very proud to be the Raleigh County Spelling Bee Winner when she was in the 4th grade. She loved to travel, having visited 45 states & especially enjoyed Branson, MO & Nashville, TN as she was a fan of country music. Bonnie was an excellent seamstress & avid quilter, having collected several old quilts that were authenticated through WV Capitol.

Bonnie was the oldest member of Grace Primitive Baptist Church in Shady Spring. She loved attending church service at Bayberry, especially when they sang her favorite song “I’ll Fly Away”. She was a past Matron of the Coal City Chapter #136 order of the Eastern Star.

Funeral Service will be held on Friday, December 1, 2017 at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens with Pastor Keith Mills officiating, with a one hour visitation prior to service time at Mausoleum Three.
