OBITUARY:
Wilma Lee Odham Mills, 77, passed from this life on Friday, March 11, at the Bowers Hospice House. Born on August 24, 1933 in McAlpin, WV, Wilma was the daughter of the late Robert and Verlis Odham. Wilma grew up in Sophia and attended Sophia schools. She was also a graduate of Central State Beauty School in Salisbury, NC. During her lifetime, she resided in Coal City, WV, Mocksville, NC and was living in Shady Spring upon her death. She was a Past Matron of Coal City Chapter 136, Order of the Eastern Star and a member of the Open Door Church in Shady Spring. Through the years, Wilma became known for her limitless generosity, humor and ability to make everyone feel special. She has touched the lives of many and will be greatly missed. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James E. Mills, brothers Ronald and Aubrey Odham, and sister Patricia Sparks. Survivors include her son Rocky Mills and wife Debbie of Coal City, and daughters Robin Mills and husband David Drullard of Central Connecticut, and Tamatha Mills of Shady Spring; two brothers, James "Buddy� Odham and George "Gene� Odham both of Midway; grandchildren: Tim Mills and wife Stephanie, Trent Mills, Kristen Walls and husband, Brandon; Brittany Milkowski and husband, Tony and Nico Mills; Also wishing to honor her memory are her seven great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. Services will be 1:00PM Monday, March 14, 2011 at Blue Ridge Funeral Home, Beckley with Pastor Don Kelly officiating. Following the services Wilma will be laid to rest beside her husband, James at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Beckley.
