Clarence Aycock graduated from Fremont High School in 1902, and attended State College at Raleigh in 1904 and 1905. After acting as bookkeeper for Yelverton Brothers of Fremont from 1906 to 1916, he and his brothers established Aycock Brothers & Company.
He represented Wayne County in the North Carolina General Assembly in 1919 and 1920. For two terms he was a member of the Board of Commissioners of Wayne County and he served on the Board of Aldermen of Fremont. He was a member of the Home Lodge No. 613, A.F. & A.M., of Fremont; Goldsboro Lodge No. 139, B.P.O.F; and Nahunta Lodge No. 225,
