Adkison Rites Are Set For Sandy Sunday

Funeral services for Bennie Adkison, 49, of Dallas are to be Sunday at 2 p.m. in the Union Memorial United Methodist Church in the Sandy community with the Rev. T. M. Sparks, pastor of Antioch Baptist Church, officiating.

Burial is to be in the Sandy Cemetery, under direction of Dorsey - Keatts Funeral Home.

Mr. Adkison died Thursday in a Dallas Hospital.  Born April 10, 1922, in Limestone County, he was a mail clerk.  A veteran of World War II, he was a member of the Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Tommie Sean Adkison of Dallas; four sons, Bernard, Anthony, Bennie and David Adkison, all of Dallas; a daughter, Sheila Adkison of Dallas; a step-daughter, Shirley White of Dallas; four sisters, Mrs. Beulah Adkison, Mrs. Edna Carroll, both of Coolidge, Mrs. Geneva Ingram of Fort Worth and Mrs. Linda Hicks of Hobbs, N.M; two brothers, Herbert Adkison  of Mexia and O.C. Adkison of Fort Worth.
