A beautiful fountain with accompanying plaques are located at the historic Sacramento City Cemetery. Mr. Bettencourt devoted many years as a docent to the historic cemetery and clearly per the words on the plaque was well-regarded by many. He is buried at the cemetery he so loved and he clearly merits a place in the annals along with the many souls now buried there. His story, like the stories of all those accompanying each marker, deserves to be remembered.
