Ann M. Casanova, age 85, passed away Friday, March 28, 2014.

Born in Joliet, residing in Lockport most of her life, Ann was a former member of the Joliet Women's Club and the Plainfield "Red Rovers" Red Hat Society.

During her life, Ann traveled to many places both in the United States and abroad. She enjoyed playing Bridge and Pinochle, bowling and golfing with her many dear friends. Ann was self-employed as a hairdresser for ten years and later worked for 13 years in the office of the Lockport Township Park District. She and her first husband, Ernie, retired to Hot Springs Village, Arkansas in 1990 where they spent 15 happy years. During the past few years, Ann also led a wonderful, active and full life with her second husband Andy Buzzetta in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Ann is survived by her husband Andrew Buzzetta; her children Ernie (Lynn) Casanova and Chari (David) Nelson; grandchildren Lisa (Tom) Fiedler, Eric (Shannon) Nelson, Ryan (Gina) Nelson and Laura (David) Rogers; nine great-grandchildren; her sister Leona Ferry and a very special friend, Joyce Stacy.

She was preceded in death by her first husband Ernest; an infant son Alan David; a granddaughter Beth Ann Casanova; her parents Marco and Anna Cernetich and her brother Leonard Cernetich.

Memorial Gathering: Wednesday, April 23, 2014, 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. in the O'Neil Funeral Home Chapel, 1105 E. 9th Street, Lockport, a driving procession to St. Dennis Church, Lockport for mass at 11:30 a.m.
