Antoinette "Sis" Baker, age 58 of Tipton, IN passed away on Thursday April 3, 2014 at her home in Tipton, IN. She was born in Elwood, IN on September 19, 1955 to James Arvil and Virginia Marie (Tebbe) Baker.

Sis was a member of Saint John the Baptist Catholic Church in Tipton and the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 46 of Tipton. She was very active with the reunion committee for the Tipton High School Class of 1973, the year she graduated. Sis regularly baked wedding and birthday cakes for family and friends, and she was always working on some sort of craft item as a gift for someone. Antoinette enjoyed genealogy, she has amassed volumes of information on her family. Sis loved spending time with her family, and adored her nieces and nephews.

Antoinette worked for the last 25 years at Walmart as a pharmacy technician..

Survivors include her mother, Virginia Baker of Tipton, a brother, Michael Baker and Anna Barr of Wabash, IN, three sisters; Sharon and husband Bruce Burnett of Little Rock, Arkansas, Carol Preston of Tipton and Jil and husband Dick Proctor of Johnston, Iowa. Also surviving are her nieces and nephews; Grant Baker, (Jess Geibig), Haley Jo Baker, Brenton Baker, Sarah Burnett, Brendan Burnett, Emily Burnett, Lorie Castle, Bridget Castle, Steve (Jen) Preston, Sarah (Matt) Vais, Aaron Hobbs, and Brock Baker. Other survivors include her great nieces and nephews; Isabella Baker, Brooke Geibig, Jordan Castle, Jacob Castle, Justin Castle, Shanntelle Castle, Declan Preston, Brooklyn Vais, Brayden Vais. A brother in law Gene Castle survives along with many other family and friends. Sis was preceded in death by her father Arvil Baker, a sister Kathy Castle, a brother Thomas Baker and a brother in law Bill Preston.

Visitation is scheduled from 2 PM to 8 PM on Tuesday April 8, 2014 at the Porter Funeral Home located at 726 East North Street in Tipton. Funeral services are planned for 11 AM on Wednesday April 9, 2014 at Saint John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church in Tipton. Father Christopher Shocklee will be officiating with interment following services at Saint John's Cemetery. The family asks monetary donations be made to Saint John's School.
