She was born December 27, 1939 in Marshalltown, the daughter of Earl and Helen Tigges Goecke. She received her education at the Lamoille Consolidated School, graduated from State Center High School. She also attended Marshalltown Junior College.
She was a member of the Minerva Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church where she served as pianist, was a member of the United Methodist Womens and the West Marshall School Volunteers.
She was preceded in death by a brother Steven and her grandparents.
Surviving are her parents, Mr and Mrs Earl Goecke of State Center, a sister, Karen (Mrs Alan) Hilleman of Leon and a brother Ronald Goecke of State Center, three nieces, two nephews and one great nephew.
