Death Claims Mrs. Barber
Mrs. May Villette Barber, 74, of Thornton, passed away Saturday evening in a local hospital following a long illness. She had been a resident of the Thornton area for 59 years.
Mrs. Barber was the wife of the late Judge Edward H. Barber, who preceded her in death in 1937. She was active in helping start the Thornton Community Church.
Mrs. Barber was well known for her neighborliness and was held in high respect by the entire Thornton district.
She is survived by four children: Mrs. Helen Cameron of Thornton; Mrs. Florence Wessitsh, Stockton; Mrs. Ada Nabors, Avenal; and Paul Barber of Pasadena. She was the sister of Earl Harrington of Roseville; Ambrose Harrington, Stockton; Chester Harrington of Rocklin; and El,er, Norman and Leonard Harrington., all of Modesto.
Interment in Lodi Memorial Cemetery.
