A native of Wells County and a sister of Ralph E. Hunnicutt of Poneto, Nevo E. Beekman, 104, of Warren died at 9:05 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 20, 2005 at the United Methodist Memorial Home in Warren.
She was a homemaker and formerly a resident of Marion before moving into the United Methodist Memorial Home Sept. 7, 1995. She attended Warren High School and was a former member of the New Hope United Methodist Church in Marion.
Born Sept. 26, 1901, in Wells County, she was a daughter of James A. and Della Terhune Hunnicutt. Her marriage was on June 10, 1922 at Warren to Alfred Glen Beekman, who died June 17, 1984.
Surviving, in addition to the Poneto brother, is a daughter, Mrs. Melvin (Doris) Dooley of Warren; six grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, James A. Beekman; two sisters, Susie Spahr and Cecile Roof, and a brother, Ray Hunnicutt.
Calling will be from 1 to 3 p.m. Thursday at the United Methodist Memorial Home in Warren, where the funeral will be at 3 p.m. Thursday with Rev. John Bellante officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery. In charge of arrangements is Glancy Funeral Homes, H. Brown & Son Chapel at Warren, Memorials to Family Hospice of Northeast Indiana, Berne, or United Methodist Memorial Home, Warren.
