Frank Carthell Roberson, 84, of Athens died April 5, 2014, at Athens-Limestone Hospital. Mr. Roberson was born in Morgan County on November 23, 1929. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie Henry Roberson and Clara Virginia Brown; his wife of 30 years, Nancy Marie Roberson; and brother, Larry Gene Roberson. He is survived by his sister, Margaret Lafran Chambers of Decatur; nieces, Ann Chambers of Decatur, Renee (John) McGehee of Decatur and great-niece, Erin McGehee.
He was a World War II veteran serving in the U.S. Army and retired after 22 years of service.
Funeral services will be held today, April 8, 2014, at 2 p.m. at Roselawn Funeral Home Chapel with Nicky Pressnell officiating. Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
