Mrs. Adrian Beukelman Passes Away
Funeral services were held Tuesday, August 30, 1977 for Mrs. Adrian (Doris) Beukelman in the Aurora Reformed Church with Rev. John Helmus officiating, Mrs. Joe Dykstra was organist, with Mrs Marvin VanGenderen and Sylvan DeHaai providing the vocal music.
Burial was in the Aurora Center Cemetery. Pallbearers were Mrs. Beukelman's nephews, Alan Vlasman, Roger Vlasman, Norman VandenHoek, Alan Zwart, Harold Beukelman and Jerry Kreun of Edgerton MM.
Doris Elaine Vlasman was born on July 5, 1930 to Andrew and Jeanette Vlasman at the Methodist Hospital, Mitchell, South Dakota. After a lengthy illness, she passed away at the Methodist Hospital on August 27, 1977 at the age of 47 years.
Doris grew up and lived in the Aurora Center areas. She was baptized, made confession of faith, and was an active member of the Aurora Center Church as long as her health permitted.
She married Adrian(Ed) Beukelman on December 9, 1947. Born into this union were five children. They were engaged in farming in the Aurora Center area.
Doris was a loving wife and mother -always thoughtful and cared for her family before herself. She will be sadly missed by her husband, children, parents, family and friends.
She leaves to mourn, her husband, Adrian; her children, Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Beukelman and grandson Scott; David of Huron, Sheryl and Dale at home; her parents, Mr & Mrs Andrew Vlasman; two brothers, Marion and Bernard, both of Aurora Center and a host of relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Marilyn.
