Geraldine Lucille Duggan, 76, of Goodrich, formerly of Lake Orion, died Tuesday April 8, 2014.
Geraldine was born August 1, 1937 in Pontiac to parents Herman & Mildred (Wilson) Lawrence. She graduated from Pontiac High School, class of 1955. She married Paul Duggan on June 16, 1956 at the All Saints Episcopal Church in Pontiac. Geri was a secretary at the Will Rogers Elementary School in Pontiac for many years. Above all, Geri was a beloved wife, mother and a grandmother. Geri and Paul were married for 57 wonderful years. Geri was one of a kind!
Geri is survived by her husband, Paul Duggan of Goodrich; son, Brad (Susan) Duggan of Ortonville; daughter, Cheryl (Frederick) Reichert of Lake Orion; son-in-law, David Degeneffe of Goodrich; eight grandchildren; sister, Linda Anthony of Rochester. Geri is also survived by many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by daughter Paula Degeneffe, sister, Sandra Hainer and her parents.
Visitation will be held 1-4/6-8pm Thursday April 10, 2014, at Muir Brothers Funeral Home, Lapeer. Geri's funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Friday, April 11, 2014 at the Hadley Community Church. Pastors Wally Rose and Bruce Craner will be officiating. Burial will be in Green Corners Cemetery, Hadley. Memorial contributions may be made to the Salvation Army or the Michigan Humane Society.
