Mrs. Anda Dies In Denver at 77

Mrs. Charles Anda, 77, a long time resident of Casper, died Tuesday afternoon in Denver.

Mrs. Anda was born in the Black Hills of South Dakota in 1870, attending school at Sturgis. She came to Casper shortly after 1900 to work for the Webel Mercantile Co. She and Mr. Anda met here and were married in Casper in 1906.

Mr. Anda, who was a prominent stockgrower and businessman, died in 1940, and in the following year Mrs. Anda went to Rapid City, S. D., to visit with her sisters. MOre recently she had been visiting in Denver.

She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Betty Thorne of Casper; and two sisters: Frances Owens and Mrs. Alex Duhamel of Rapid City. One daughter, Delia, died in 1916 at the age of eight years.

Charles Anda, after closing out his sheep business, was engaged for several years in the abstract business as a partner of J. T. Scott in the Natrona County Abstract Co.

The body will be brought to Casper for services and interment, with arrangements under the direction of the Bustard Funeral Home. Requiem high mass will be celebrated at 9:30 Friday morning at the Catholic Church of St. Anthony, with the Very Rev. Fr. Thomas F. O'Reilly as celebrant. Burial will be made beside her husband in Highland cemetery.
