YADKINVILLE - Mrs. Marie Tucker Pinnix, 87, of Yadkinville died Wednesday, March 24, 2010 at Willowbrook Rehabilitation and Care Center in Yadkinville. She was born September 4, 1922 in Forsyth County, the daughter of the late Charlie John and Mazzie Ray Webster Tucker. Mrs. Pinnix was a member of Mt. Tabor United Methodist Church and was a graduate of Old Town High School. She was retired from Hanes Hosiery and was an avid Wake Forest Fan. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Doris Hadges; two brothers, Gene Tucker and William Tucker; a nephew, John Davis; and a niece, Katherine Sutton. Survivors include one son, Edward H. Pinnix, Jr. and wife, Paige; and two grandsons, Harrison Pinnix and Drew Pinnix, all of Severn; four nephews, Jeff Davis, Wayne Davis, Richard Tucker and Billy Tucker; and five nieces, Bonnie Fisher, Betty Jo Williams, Janet Spach, Judy Tucker and Darlene Tucker. A Memorial Service will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at Hayworth-Mi!
ller Silas Creek Chapel with the Rev. Dan Wilkers officiating. The family will receive friends following the Service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to R. J. Reynolds High School Golf Team, c/o Diana Kelly, 301 North Hawthorne Road, Winston-Salem, NC 27104.
