Stephen Carl Bias passed peacefully in his home surrounded by his family. He moved to Missouri in 1997. Stephen was an award winning Dutch oven cook, who taught classes at every trout hatchery in the state of Missouri. He served four years in the United States Air Force, and was employed by Amoco Chemical in Texas City, TX.

2nd marriage: Jeanice Howell in 1983 in Santa Fe, TX

Survived by his wife, one son, two daughters, one stepson, one brother, seven grandchildren, six step-grandchildren, five step-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; stepdaughter, Dorris Coomes; stepson, Scott Howell; grandson, Christopher Woodcock and step grandchild, Jo Hanna Howell.

Funeral services were held on Monday, April 14, 2014, in Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Cassville. Burial with military honors were in Rowley Cemetery, Washburn.

He was born October 10, 1946, in South Charleston, West Virginia to Sydney Carl and Elaine Pauley Bias.

He moved to Missouri in 1997. Stephen was an award winning Dutch oven cook, who taught classes at every trout hatchery in the state of Missouri. He served four years in the United States Air Force, and was employed by Amoco Chemical in Texas City, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents; stepdaughter, Dorris Coomes; stepson, Scott Howell; grandson, Christopher Woodcock and step grandchild, Jo Hanna Howell.

Mr. Bias married Hazel Nester in Charleston, West Virginia on December 13, 1968. The marriage resulted in three children. In 1983, he married Jeanice Howell in Santa Fe, Texas. She brought three children to the marriage. He is survived by his wife, Jeanice; a stepson, Donald Lee Howell of Oregon; a daughter, Christina and husband Larry Woodcock of Sante Fe, Texas; a son, Aaron and wife Amy Bias of Greenbrier, Arkansas; a daughter, Sharli Bias of League City, Texas; a brother, Roger Bias and his wife, Elizabeth; grandchildren, Clay, Cassidy, Courtney, Caleb and Claire Woodcock, and Emily and Ellie Bias; step-grandchildren, Cody Coomes, Jamie Semien, Jesse Howell and Dean, Michelle and Devin Howell; five step-great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday, April 14, 2014, in Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Cassville, Missouri, under direction of Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville. Burial with military honors will be in Rowley Cemetery, Washburn, Missouri.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 4:00 P.M. Sunday in Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville.
