Visitation for Richard H. "Dick" DeGrauw, 74, of Momence, will be from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. today at the Cotter Funeral Home.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Momence, by the Rev. Denis White.
Burial will be in Momence Cemetery.
Memorials may be made for Masses or to St. Patrick Catholic Church, of which he was a member.
Mr. DeGrauw died Thursday Feb. 8, 1996 at Eureka Community Hospital, following a sudden illness.
He was born April 5, 1921 in East Rutherford, N.J., the son of Jacob and Cecilia DeGrauw.
His wife, the former Katie Louise Camus, whom he married March 20 1943 in Morton Grove, died June 21, 1995.
He is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Susan and Keith Anderson of Waldorf, Md., Sandra and Richard Mann of Bourbonnais; four grandchildren, Joshua Anderson of Waldorf, Md., and Stacey, Matthew and Bradley Mann of Bourbonnais; two brothers and two sisters-in-law, Henry and Emma DeGrauw of Ocala, Fla., Jacob DeGrauw of Hempstead, Long Island, N.Y., and Helen DeGrauw of Hawley, Pa; and one sister, Cecilia Krueger of Valley Stream, N.Y.
One brother is deceased.
Mr. DeGrauw served in the U.S. Army during World War II in the European theatre.
He was retired from General Foods in Kankakee.
He was a member of the Momence Lions Club and American Legion Post 40.
He enjoyed watching his grandchildren play basketball, fishing, flying and photography, and was an Indy car racing fan.
