Vista Feltman
A kind, loving, generous and non-judgmental person passed away on Dec 31, 2013 at the age of 96.
She lived a full, happy, and healthy life to the very end and never stopped making new friends.
Vista served for four years in the US Army WAC during the Second World War.
She was the caregiver, first for 20 years with the Faustmann family, then the next 20 years for the Baird family.
She made innumerable, life-long friends wherever she went, including in Connecticut, Fire Island, Chicago and Lake Worth.
She will be dearly missed by Kathy Faustmann and Ellen Faustmann Corroo whom she was like a second Mom to them.
Over 20 years ago, Vista met Elaine McCarroll on her morning walk. That same morning Elaine brought Vista home for breakfast and quickly became part of the McCarroll family.
She was a special Grandmother to Heather Rogers, Patrick McCarroll, Jimmy McCarroll and Neil Styx.
When Vista was no longer able to do her morning walks, Elaine brought her home a three-wheeled bike and for ten years she became famous wheeling around Lake Worth. She befriended all people she met along the way. Vista is now with Elaine who passed away in March. They can now walk together again.
A special thanks to Christine Krupa who cared for Vista in her last months and became a loving friend to Vista and her dog Coco.
A Memorial ceremony will be held privately on Saturday January 4, 2014. Arrangements are entrusted to Quattlebaum Funeral, Cremation and Event Center.
