Elisabeth Willes, daughter of Lamson and Mabel (Bissel) Willes, was born 5 June 1740 in Windsor, CT. Her paternal grandparents were Joshua Willes & Elizabeth (Skinner) Willes and maternal grandparents, Jeremiah Bissell and Mehitable (White) Bissell.
Elisabeth had four known siblings: Hezekiah Wells (born 25 June 1736), Lamson Wells (born 27 November 1737), Joshua Wells (born 22 February 1741) and Deacon Ira Wells (born 25 March 1744).
Note, Elizabeth's brother Hezekiah was the first to change his name from Willes to Wells.
Elizabeth married Samuel Allen, son of Joseph and Mary (Hulet) Allen. They had six known children, all born in East Windsor:
1. Elizabeth Allen, born 8 April 1763, married Jonathan Pasco.
2. Samuel Allen, born 16 June 1764, married Mary Allen and later Mrs. Azubah (Osborn) Moody.
3. Mabel Allen, born 30 March 1768, married Simeon Pease.
4. Joshua Allen, born 18 May 1771, married Abigail Bartlett.
5. Elam Allen, born 29 July 1774, married Martha "Patty" Allen.
6. Sabra Allen, born 29 July 1774, married John McKnight Thompson.
