Mary Agnes Dabson, 89, of 353 N. Crosby St., died Monday afternoon, Dec. 19, 2005, at home. Mary was born June 26, 1916, in Janesville, the daughter of Charles James and Mary Agnes (Rowan) Viney. She married Forrest "Orr" Limen Dabson on Aug. 20, 1949, at St. Pat's in Janesville. Orr died Sept. 25, 1973. Mary was a 1935 graduate of Janesville High School and a 1938 graduate of Mercy School of Nursing. She worked as a registered nurse in Mercy's maternity ward for over 41 years, retiring in 1982. Mary was a charter member of St. William's Catholic Church. Survivors include 4 daughters: Maggie Haffery, Kathie Dabson, Julie (fiancé, Steve Wincapaw) Rotzoll, all of Janesville, and Rose (Terry) Taylor of Johnstown, WI; 7 grandchildren; 2 great-grandsons; a great-granddaughter; daughter-in-law, Deb Dabson; cousin, Rita Gahagan; and special friend, Jean Nelson. In addition to her husband and parents, Mary was preceded in death by 2 sons, Daniel "Boone" Dabson on 2/22/02 and Jim Dabson on 11/3/05; her brother, Charles Viney; and a grandson.
