Kenneth L. Potter, 67, of Alamo, TX, died Friday, Dec. 2, 2005, at home following a courageous battle with pancreas and liver cancer. He was born on July 31, 1938, in Fairmont, MN, the son of Iver and Hazel Potter. Kenneth married Mary Louise Voelker in 1959, in LaCrosse, WI. He entered the U.S. Air Force in 1955, and attained the rank of Technical Sergeant as a Radar Technician. Ken was a veteran of the Vietnam War and served in the Air Force until retiring in 1975. After retiring from the Air Force, Ken worked for Mercy Hospital, Hawthorn Melody, Embest Diary, then he retired once again and moved to Alamo Texas for his retirement. He lived and worked at the Alamo Palms retirement community. He enjoyed working on computers, fishing and traveling the country in their RV. He always had a smile and a cheery word for those who he met. He cherished his wife, children, grandchildren, family and his wonderful friends in Texas. Kenneth was a former member of St. Paul’s Ev. Lutheran Church in Janesville and a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in McAllen, TX. He is survived by his wife, Mary Lou Potter of Alamo, TX; 3 children: Julie (Randy) Seeman of Janesville, David (Amey) Potter of Algonquin, IL, and Amy (Alan) Kohler of Janesville; 7 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; his stepmother, Lorraine Potter of Des Moines, IA; 2 brothers; 5 sisters; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; and 2 sons, Nicholas and Anthony.
