Barbara J. Romanzak, 76, a lifelong Janesville resident, was born into eternal life on Tuesday evening, Nov. 29, 2005, at Mercy Hospital. She was born Aug. 19, 1929, in Janesville, the daughter of the late Bruno & Hattie (Clarida) LaCaria. She attended school in Janesville and was a graduate of Janesville High School. On Aug. 21, 1948, she married Frank S. Romanzak at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Janesville. Barb was employed as the Manager of The Galley at Weise's Dept. Store (Boston Store), and then went to work in the Medical Records Dept. of Riverview Clinic, retiring as the person responsible for the Surgical Center Medical Records. She was a longtime member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church. She loved her family, and her greatest love was her only grandchild, Ashley. She loved gambling and made numerous trips to Las Vegas with Frank. She especially enjoyed working with her flowers and also had a real love of her stuffed bears, and most of all her favorite, "Howie". She was an avid Packer fan and was a true Die Hard Chicago Cubs fan! Her Fridays in the Fall were spent on shopping trips with her daughter and friends. She is survived by her husband, Frank; her 2 daughters, Terri Bright of Janesville, and Tami (Glen) Johnston of Oak Creek, WI; her beloved granddaughter, Ashley Johnston, also of Oak Creek, WI; her brother, Joseph LaCaria of Pawtucket, RI; her sister, Helen McDonnell of Janesville; and many nieces, nephews, and friends, especially her very dear friends, Pat Miller and Elaine Myers. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Toni Marie Romanzak; and by 2 sisters, Marcella LaCaria and Mary Becker.
