Margaret Lena Rye, 47, of Milton, passed away on Sunday, Dec. 11, 2005, after a long, courageous fight with cancer. She was born in Edgerton on Sept. 12, 1958, daughter of Gerald and the late Claudia (Carson) Kettle. She lived her entire life in the Milton area and she attended Milton Schools. She married Michael J. Rye on Aug. 31, 1985, in Milton, and he preceded her in death on May 15, 1993. Margie worked with her husband as a drywall installer in their own business and recently she was working as an installer for Brian Tuebert. Margie loved hunting and fishing. Her greatest love was spending time with her family and friends. She is survived by her father, Gerald Kettle of Necedah, WI; 4 sisters: Thelma (special friend, Mike Koch) Kettle of Milton, Julie Kettle of Chippewa Falls, WI, Geraldine (Paul) Talley of Milton, and Vickie (Kyle) Keltner of New Lisbon, WI; a brother, Floyd (Christy) Kettle of Lincoln, NE; many aunts, uncles and cousins of the Osceola, IA, area; and many nieces and nephews from this area. In addition to her husband and mother, she was preceded in death by her special friend and companion, Jim Finch.
