Robert "Bob" Vern Craft, 61, of Hanford, CA passed away Wednesday, April 9, 2014.
Robert was born on February 14, 1953 in Hanford, CA and was the son of the late Lawrence & Mary Craft. He attended Kit Carson Elementary School for a few years, where he met people that would remain his friends for life. The family moved to Yucaipa for a few years and returned to Hanford in 1966 where he continued school in Armona. He attended Hanford High where he reconnected with old friends and graduated in 1971.
Robert was a route driver then supervisor for Rainbo Bakery for 38 years.
Robert loved motorcycles and dirt bikes as a teenager, and then moved on to Harley Davidson's and hot rods. He loved attending car shows with his good friend Larry Best, especially Hot August Nights in Reno. His current passion was rebuilding his 1973 Dodge Charger. He enjoyed hunting and always looked forward to hanging out at the coast with longtime friend Chris Pope.
His 3 year fight with cancer was faced with bravery, dignity and heart.
Robert is survived by his brother,of Hanford; his sister,of Fresno; He is also survived by 6 grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to your favorite charity .
A Graveside Service will be held at 10:00a.m. on Wednesday, April 16, 2014 at Hanford Cemetery; 10500 10th Avenue, Hanford, CA 93230 559-584-3937.
