Ora Bickford, 71, Sciotoville, Ohio former resident of this county, died in a hospital in Oak Hill, Ohio, at 8:00 am, Wednesday, January 9, following an extended illness. The son of the late George and Alice Price Bickford, he was born in this county February 26, 1891. He had lived at Sciotoville for two years and had formerly lived at White House., Auxier, and Thealka. A retired mine foreman; he was a member of the Freewill Baptist Church and of the Richardson Lodge F. & A. M. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Lorinda Amburgy Bickford; two sons, George Bickford, Rock House; David Bickford, Auxier; a daughter, Mrs. Olive Welch, Sciotoville, Ohio; two sisters, Mrs. Addie Perry, Oak Hill, W.Va; Mrs. Bertha Jordan, Thayer, Mo; two brothers, Jay Bickford, Mineral, Washington; Charles A. Bickford, Allen. Funeral services were conducted at 10:00 am., Friday at the Thealka Freewill Baptist Church with Rev. S. C. Honeycutt as officiating minister.
