Donna was born in West Wyoming, March 2, 1960, a daughter of Joseph and Agnes (Roseweir) Amato of West Wyoming.
She was a graduate of Wyoming Area High School and College Misericordia, Dallas.
Donna worked for many years at Mercy Hospital, Wilkes-Barre, and most recently at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center.
She was a radiology technician who was an inspiration to all. She gave hope, love, joy, passion and compassion to all she touched.
She was the best medicine for all that knew her or needed her help. Donna was a member of St. Therese's RC Church, Shavertown.
Surviving, in addition to her parents, are her husband, Dr. John Bobeck; three sons Jonathon Stephens, a student at Penn State University, State College, Pa.; Joshua Stephens, an eighth-grade student at Dallas Middle School; Jordan, a sixth-grade student at Dallas Middle School; four stepsons, John, Wilkes-Barre; Brian, Wilkes-Barre; Stephen, a student at Kutztown University; and Matthew, Scranton; sister Patricia Rutkoski, West Wyoming; brothers Joseph, Indiana; Michael, West Wyoming; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Donna – our hearts are aching over your passing, but your pain and suffering are over, and you are with God and your beloved St. Padre Pio.
Funeral will be at 9:15 a.m. Thursday, April 13, 2006, from the Recupero Funeral Home, 406 Susquehanna Ave., West Pittston, with a blessing service at 10 a.m. in St. Therese's Church.
Interment will be in Italian Independent Cemetery, West Wyoming.
