Walter Helm Succumbs To Car Injuries
Walter Helm died at Buchanan's Sanitarium at 6 o'clock yesterday morning after having been unconscious since last Thursday noon from injuries received when the motorcycle he was riding crashed into the side of an automobile. The accident occurred at the intersection of Cherokee Lane and Lockeford street. Helm received a fractured skull and internal injuries and had been at the point of death constantly since the accident.
The deceased was a native of North Dakota, aged 19 years. He had been a resident of Lodi for the past 11 years and attended both the elementary and high schools.
He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Helm, 521 East Locust street. He was the brother of Gust Helm, Ashley, North Dakota; Jacob Helm and Fred Helm, Cathay, NorthDakota; Adolph, Rudolph, Ernest and Clifford Helm, Lodi; Frank Helm, Sacramento; Mrs. Lydia Pohl, Ashley, North Dakota; Mrs. Martha Seibold, Cathay, North Dakota; Mrs. Mary Linzmier, Ventiria, North Dakota; Mrs. Katherine Schmidt, Sacramento; Miss Elizabeth Helm, Lodi.
