Russell F. Schultz, 75, passed away on Thursday, Dec. 22, 2005, after a long illness. He was born in Janesville on July 3, 1930, the son of Frank and Josephine (Downer) Schultz. Russ graduated from Janesville High School in 1948. He enlisted in the Air Force and served from 1948 to 1951. On May 15, 1954, Russ married Lorene Shea at St. Patrick's Church in Janesville. He worked as a Lithographer for Hulick Brothers, Strauss Printing and Bawden Brothers Printing until his retirement in 1990. Russ was an active member of Queen of Peace Parish, serving as an usher, Cub Scout Leader and was the first President of the Queen of Peace campers. In addition to camping, Russ loved to golf, play Ping-Pong and horseshoes. He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Lorene; 4 children: Kathy (John) Franklin of Brooklyn, Ginny Morschauser of Sun Prairie, John of Madison and Mary Jo (Bryan) Richards of Mount Horeb; 6 grandchildren: Katelyn Franklin, Tim Morschauser, Stephanie Schultz and David, Tyler and Hunter Richards; brother, Thomas (Carol) Schultz of Minnetonka, MN; 4 brothers-in-law: James (Arlene), John (Mary) and Thomas (Sandy) Shea, all of Janesville, and William (Dolly) Shea of Shreveport, LA; sister-in-law, Mary Schoeberle of Fitchburg; and many nieces and nephews. Russ was preceded in death by his parents; and his mother and father-in-law, Lorene and James Shea.
