Forrest Homer Stoflet, 69, died Thursday, Dec. 22, 2005, at the Burlington Memorial Hospital. Forrest was born at home in Spring Prairie, WI, on Feb. 29, 1936. He was an operating engineer for over twenty-five years. Over the years he was active in company baseball, Toastmasters, the Burlington Flying Club, American Legion, and LCPHA. He retired to his hobby of collecting and restoring hit-and-miss antique gasoline engines. He is survived by his wife, Priscilla; children: Gerry Stoflet of Elkhorn, Daryl (Patti) Stoflet of East Troy, Pam (Dave) Pontel of Pickerel, WI, Sally Leffelman of Burlington, WI, and Benjie (Margie) of Deadwood, SD; grandchildren: Abbey, Adam, Ashley, Ryan, Holli, Rachel, and Cameron Stoflet, Stacey (Jesse) Dennison, Justin Pontel, Vicki, Kara and Kurtis Leffelman; 4 great-grandchildren: Austin, Hannah, Quintin and Cole; sisters and brothers: Annyce Hubbard, Jim (Neoma) Stoflet, Gerry (Gloria) Stoflet, all of Elkhorn, Bill (Judy) Stoflet of East Troy, Donna (Jim) Newhouse of Grove City, OH, and Judy (Don) Karstedt of Coeur D'Alene, ID; 10 sisters-in-law, 9 brothers-in-law, 64 nieces and nephews, and many, many other extended family members, countless friends, and shop companions. He was preceded in death by his parents; his parents-in-law; brothers: Chet, Jack, Kenneth, and Michael; sisters, Ilona and Nancy; and several brothers-in-law.
