Lucille A. Werner, 81, 102 N. River St., Janesville, died Monday, Dec. 12, 2005, at St. Mary's Hospital Medical Center in Madison. Lucille was born on Feb. 18, 1924, in Poynette, WI, the daughter of Gilbert and Mary (Fuller) Babcock. She grew up in the Poynette area where she graduated from high school. On Dec. 22, 1944, Lucille married Norman Werner. After moving to Janesville, she was employed 17 years by the Alpine Restaurant as a baker. Lucille was a member of First Presbyterian Church and Women of the Moose Lodge #477. Lucille's survivors include 4 daughters: Sandra (Chuck) Truehl of Janesville, Donna (Michael) Malterer of Evansville, Karene (Don) Stewart of New Lisbon, WI, and Cindy (Steve) Sutton of Janesville; 11 grandchildren; 21 great-grand-children; her sister, Mary (Bill) Wesley of Merrillan, WI; and 2 brothers-in-law, Morris Werner of Arlington, WI, and Ronald (Irene) Werner of Benbrook, TX. She was preceded in death by her husband, Norman Werner on Dec. 3, 1976. She was also preceded in death by her parents; and 2 brothers, Rudolph Babcock and John Babcock.
