Mrs. Lillie Allen Dies at Home of Daughter/Rites to be Sunday near Massie's Mill
Charlottesville, Nov. 8 - Mrs. Lillie Wood Allen, 80, widow of Houston Montgomery Allen, died Saturday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. G. A. Campbell in Richmond,following an extended illness. The funeral will be held at 3:30 p.m. Sunday at the residence near Massie's Mill and interment will be in the family burying ground. Besides Mrs. Campbell, she is survived by five other daughters, Mrs. Laura Kidd, Mrs. Daisy Hume, and Janie Allen, all of Richmond; Mrs. John Mays (Iveta), of Nelson County, and Mrs. Victoria Shaffer, of Baltimore; and two sons, Charles and William Allen, both of Nelson County. There are 52 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.
