Mrs. Edd Chavanne

SANDY RIDGE-Mrs. Mildred M. Chavanne, 54, of Kittery, Maine, formerly of Sandy Ridge, died last month at the Oncologic Cancer Hospital where she had been a patient for two years.

Born May 17, 1924, in Sandy Ridge she was the daughter of Fred and Carrie (Faust) Meek of Kittery.

She was married to Hal Houser, who preceded her in death. She later married Edd Chavanne who survives with these children: Harold C., Carl D., and Diane, all of Philadelphia.

She is also survived by two brothers: Fred Jr., and Dennis, both serving with the U.S. Navy, stationed in Virginia Beach, Va.; and these sisters; Mrs. Fred (Dorothy) Franch, Las Vegas, Nev.; Mrs. William (Faye) Elliott, Mrs. David (Nancy) Callanan, and Mrs. Arthur (Carol) Vancour, all of Kittery, Maine; and two grandchildren.

In addition to her first husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, William.

The funeral was held in the John F. Fluehr Funeral Home Jan. 15 and interment was in the Rosedale Memorial Park Cemetery in Philadelphia.
