BOONSBORO - Ruth Naomi Abell, 86, a resident of Reeders Memorial Home and formerly of 7 East Washington St., Hagerstown, died Saturday, April 17, 1999, at Washington County Hospital.
Born April 1, 1913, in Cearfoss, she was the daughter of the late Noble Victor and Bertha Matilda Bowers Spickler.
She had retired after 32 years from Fairchild Aircraft in Hagerstown as a blueprint maker.
She was a life member of Broadfording Bible Brethren Church near Hagerstown.
She is survived by
two sisters,
Betty H. Sampsell of El Paso, Texas and
Pauline L. Renner of Boonsboro;
a brother,
Albert J. Spickler of Hagerstown;
nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by
two brothers,
Earl L. Spickler and
Harold E. Spickler.
Services will be Monday at 1 p.m. at Broadfording Bible Brethren Church. The Rev. William H. Freed Jr. will officiate. Burial will be in Broadfording Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Monday one hour before the services at the church. There will be no visitation at the funeral home.
Memorial donations may be made to Broadfording Bible Brethren Church, 13523 Broadfording Church Road, Hagerstown, MD 21740.
