ABEE, MR. CHARLES NELSON -was a member of Manley Baptist Church and the clown ministry since 1989. He was the owner and operator of Exact Tax. He entered his military career in 1950 and retired in 1975. Mr. Abee served twenty plus years as a member of the Air Force combat control teams, and was on parachute or flying status for over seventeen of those years. When he retired in 1975 he was First Sergeant of the Squadron to which he was originally assigned in 1956. He is the recipient of the following medals: Air Medal, Bronze Star, AF Commendation, Meritorious Service Medal and others. He was a Gideon from 1978 to present. Preceded in death by brothers, Bobby Dean and Jerry Abee. He is survived by his wife of 46 years Ruth Abee sons and daughters-in-law, David and Melinda Abee, Billy and Barbara Abee grandchildren, Austin, Walker, Gabbie and Colin brother Bill Abee Funeral services will be 8:00 p.m. Saturday, March 19, 2005, at Manley Baptist Church with the Elder Paul Violet, Ward Ashley, and Kenneth Glenn officiating. Military graveside services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, March 19, 2005, in Hamblen Memory Gardens with VFW Post 5266 officiating. The family will receive friends Friday, from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. prior to the services at the church. Arrangements by Westside Chapel Funeral Home, Morristown.
