Ella La Brie died from injuries she received 2½ months earlier during the disastrous Christmas Eve Pageant fire in 1894 at Silver Lake, Oregon. Ella's husband, Thomas Jefferson La Brie and their two daughters were also in the fire. Baby daughter, Hazel W. La Brie, perished. T.J. La Brie and their older toddler daughter, Ester E LaBrie, survived.
