Cade Allen R. Abbett, age 18, of Huntington, died at 3:11 a.m. Wednesday (April 16, 2014) at his home surrounded by loved ones.
Family will receive friends from 2 p.m. - 8 p.m. Monday (April 21, 2014) at Huntington Church of the Nazarene, 1555 Flaxmill Road, Huntington. Private funeral services and burial will be held at a later time.
Preferred memorials are to Team Cade Cancer Fund, in care of Bailey-Love Mortuary, 35 West Park Drive, Huntington, IN.
Cade was born June 3, 1995 in Fort Wayne, the son of Christopher A. and Carrie L. (Davis) Abbett.
Cade graduated from Huntington North High School in 2014. He was a member New Life Fellowship Church. He was a member of the Amity Lodge #483 F. & A.M. of Huntington. He also played bass drum in the Huntington North High School band, and was a lover of music and an avid video gamer.
Cade is survived by his parents - Christopher A. and Carrie L. Abbett of Huntington; his sister - Caylie Abbett of Indianapolis; his paternal grandparents - Terry and Connie Abbett of Huntington; his maternal grandparents - Mike and Jan Davis of Andrews; his paternal great grandparents - Rhynard and Mary Abbett of Huntington; his paternal great grandfather - Nelson Yentes; and girlfriend - Kayla Smyth.
He is preceded in death by his great grandparents - Rose Yentes, Floyd and Alice Davis, and John and Freda Butts.
